Part I: CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY

Collection of all 1000 patients was completed and all the information was introduced in the data-base computerised program by September 30, 1991.

This information was presented in a special Workshop of the "Third International Conference on SLE" hold in London (13-15 April 1992).

Part II: 2-YEAR-FOLLOW-UP STUDY

All the information was introduced in the data-base protocol by September 30, 1993.

This information was presented in a special Workshop of the "Fourth International Conference on SLE" hold in Jerusalem in 1995.

Part III: 5-YEAR-FOLLOW-UP STUDY

All the information was introduced in the data-base protocol by September 30, 1996.

This information was presented in a special Workshop of the "XIX ILAR Congress of Rheumatology" hold in Singapore in 1997.

Part IV: 10-YEAR-FOLLOW-UP STUDY

All the information should be introduced in the data-base protocol by September 30, 2001.
